Professional Style and Orientation
Honesty, truth, insight, and compassion are the cornerstones of my practice. I assist clients in integrating their mind, body and spirit to return to wholeness through the use of mindfulness-based techniques by being empathetic, nurturing and direct.
Most problems follow beliefs that have outlived their usefulness. By developing 'emotional courage' you gain a clearer sense of your true self so that you can make choices and take actions that are in your best interest. The process of change begins by clearly defining the difficulty and developing new skills and healthy attitudes about yourself and others. I enjoy helping clients explore and transform limiting beliefs and behaviors patterns, while removing blocks to living a more fulfilling life. My orientation tends to be orientated from a relational perspective.
I have worked with clients for over 20 years and have been a leader in building and developing non-profits and community groups for the last 25 years. I received a Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from San Francisco State University.
